I’m a rock climber, so it’s natural for me to focus on climbing and bouldering. I’ve also been interested in the bodybuilding and health aspect of the sport, so I’ve been able to incorporate my training into my climbing and bouldering.
Ive always been interested in strength training, so seeing people do it has been a great way to push my limits. Ive pushed my workouts to the next level and now I use a weighted barbell and a resistance bands to get stronger. It’s definitely worth the extra effort, but it just helps me get through the climbing I do.

Whether it’s a race, a triathlon, an endurance event, or any of the other sorts of events for which everyone in society is competing, strength is a major part of the equation. Boulder climbing is one of those things that is so simple, yet so much harder than it looks. It might seem like a simple idea, but this is one of those things where the reality is more difficult than it seems. I can understand this from my own experience, but I have also been there myself. The problem is that the first time you do it, it is quite hard. After you have done it a few times, you get very good at it.
The reality is that it is not so easy. There is a lot of pressure on you to be perfect the first time. You can’t just try it out in a gym, or out on the road, because you will be so worried about how you look that you won’t be able to enjoy your climb. You need to experience the process as if you were actually doing it. The first time you take a heavy drop, you might not think what you are doing is wrong or dangerous.
It’s exactly the same as regular running. Its just that we don’t know if it is really working. The same thing happens when you’re training for a marathon. The first few times you go, you are like, “I’m being ridiculous, what am I doing? I really can’t run.
