I have been on a strict protein diet for several weeks now. I am one of those people that eats a lot of carbs, but rarely eats protein. I don’t know that I am a strict vegetarian. I am, however, a strict vegan, so I try to avoid anything that has meat or fish in it. This is because I think that protein is one of the main things that is lacking from my diet.
Protein is important for building muscle, but it requires lots of energy to digest. If you don’t have enough energy to burn off your protein you will have a bad time. Because protein is energy, we need to get our blood sugar levels up, which is why we need it in the first place. This means eating protein is not a good idea if you are at rest.
Well, I would say that this is why I don’t like to drink protein (or any other kind of energy drink). It just makes me feel worse.
