When the weather cooperates.
That’s the one. It’s a great rainy day.
I have been in the rain for six days straight, and I can honestly say that the weather cooperates and does not disrupt my life in any way. Also, it lets me do my laundry and get dressed and then start a fire, which has been my primary goal each day since I started watching it.
Ok, maybe that last one is a little hyperbolic, but I feel as though it’s true. A good rain or thunderstorm can be a wonderful break from the monotony of everyday life. But when the skies are black and the clouds are so menacing that you can’t see your hand in front of your face, then you run, and you run in the direction of the closest phone, as fast as you can run.
The phrase “make your own weather” is a little like “take your own rain” but in reverse. When the weather is bad, you take the weather, make your own. If it wasn’t a rainy one, then you’d probably take the weather, make your own.
The weather is most often a good thing. The downside is when it is bad, it can be a disaster. Take your own weather, make your own. You can even take an earthquake, and make your own. A hurricane, and make your own. But it is a whole new level of insanity.

Like earthquakes, hurricanes are a big part of the Earth’s crust that can cause a lot of damage locally. It is also one of the biggest threats that we can see to our world. And the same goes for hurricanes. We all know that there has been a spate of natural disasters in 2012, with some of the worst in the last few years. The last time it happened was in the summer of 2003, when Hurricane Katrina made landfall in the United States.
But Katrina made landfall in the middle of hurricane season. This is especially true in the south. And this is where we want to focus for this particular article. The point is to be aware of what kinds of storms are around you and how they’re affecting your area. We also want to be prepared for hurricanes that could be worse than Katrina.
