This blueberry protein bar recipe is my go to. It is so easy to make and you can make it in advance. It’s also a great way to give back to those less-than-healthy-for-you friends and family.
For those who aren’t big on food, it’s a fun way to give to those who are. The recipe comes from my friend, the great David Bostwick. It’s got everything from sweet sweet blueberry jam to protein to flavor to great taste.
I love this recipe. I can’t wait to give it to my husband for his birthday. I think he will love it too.
Although the recipe is easy to make, you may have to adjust it to your own tastes. If you find that it’s too sweet or too tart, just substitute some of your favorite jam. Or just leave it out altogether.
I have to say, I do think that all foods are amazing. I think blueberries are in a good place in the world, and blueberry jam is pretty damn good. But I think I would have to make a request to myself to be a blueberry fiend. I would love to eat a blueberry every day, but I am not convinced that blueberries are going to be a big part of my diet for the next few years.
I think you’re right. Blueberries are a bit tart and sweet just like jam.
But, let’s face it, we don’t eat enough of them. For those of us who do, it might be time to get a fresh supply.
