A recent study by the University of Chicago found that people who eat more cereal calories also eat more energy from protein and fat. Because that’s what these protein bars are designed to do. Plus, they make for a healthier snack or lunch.
While the study was in its early stages, it’s worth bearing in mind that you might end up eating more calories from protein if you’re eating a lot of these bars. That’s because it’s hard to tell if you’ll end up eating more calories from protein (especially if you’re filling your stomach with a pile of protein-dense, low-carb meals) or fewer calories from protein (or more calories from carbs).
I guess its possible that youll end up eating more calories from protein than you would eating from carbs however I think we need to look at the possibility that you could end up eating less from carbs then you would eating from protein. But to get something more accurate, it might be a good idea to look at your daily calorie intake and then subtract the calories from protein or carbs youll be eating and multiply your calories from protein or carbs by the number of calories from protein or carbs in the day.
